Siemens Nixdorf PCD-5ND

The PCD-5ND is a Pentium-based laptop that was released in 1995. It is essentially just a Pentium version of the PCD-4ND. It was manufactured for Siemens Nixdorf by Quanta, but is an exclusive design (pretty sure of this).

History

  • 2026.02.26 → Arrived. The overall condition is very nice. It’s 30 years old but looks only slightly used, except for the additional RAM and its cover, as the HDD cover is missing. It came without an HDD, but it has a standard PATA IDE connector, so I added an 800 MB HDD and it works nicely. Don't know why it shows like running 45 Mhz because Bios shows 90 Mhz, will check it later. Also recently noticed that additional ram slots are damaged in the way it can't be repaired.
  • 2026.02.19 → The item was listed on vinted.lt for €120. I negotiated with the seller to lower the price to €70, and he accepted. I bought the item.
